Pumpkin Patch

So... we are starting fresh and eventually I will go back and fill in the blanks. :) I have several post that have been in draft mode but I was too lazy busy to upload pics. Well now we seem to have found our little groove and I must get to documenting these kids lives. Being a family of four has been amazing! Tiresome and busy? Yes! Most days I don't feel like I stop until I hit the bed, there is not much downtime but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

A couple weeks ago Eric and I took off work and headed tot he pumpkin patch! As you will see a fabulous time was had by all!

Welcome to the world

June 7th had been scheduled for weeks as cerclage removal day, but we weren't sure if I would then be induced or sent home if no progress was happening. Obviously I was over being pregnant and wanted our little dude here. Well was I ever surprised when the hospital called to confirm our "induction" for the next day. Woo hoo, this was really going to happen. We arrived at the hospital at 7:15 and were quickly setup in a L&D room to prep to remove the cerclage. Due to my last pregnancy and the issues/ pain from removing the cerclage, we felt it in my best interest to have it removed in the hospital instead of my OB's office. Man oh man am I thankful we made that decision. Just like with Sophia, my cercalge had embedded again in my cervix and what normally takes a few minutes to snip took close to an hour to remove. Even with the epidural I could feel the tugging and some discomfort. Once the stitch was out Dr. P wanted to see if I would progress on my own before starting any pitocin. Well around noon nothing had changed so a low dose of pitocin was started. A couple hours passed and eventually my water broke. Things progressed quickly after this and the contractions came on hard and fierce, before I knew it I was complete and ready to push. The anaesthesiologist was called back in to amp up my epi and the wait for it to kick in was brutal. Four sets of pushes later and with the help of forceps our little man was here. Jackson Ryder was born at 5:48 pm weighing 7 lbs 10 oz and 20 in long. It was love at first sight for mom, dad and big sister and the love has grown more and more each day since his arrival. He completes us and we are so excited to see what the future holds for our little family of four.

Changes

So I guess I should probably mention the big change about to take place to our little family before it actually happens.

On October 7th we found out this!

We shared the news with the world (aka FB) at 9 weeks! Ya think she is excited?

First belly pic at about 16 weeks.

Then on January 9th we confirmed 100% that this precious baby is a boy! To say we were excited is a big understatement. We have always wanted one of each and can't wait for this little man to join our family.
This pregnancy has been like night and day compared to Sophia's and we feel so incredibly blessed. My preventative cerclage was placed on Jan 2nd and besides the numerous doc appointments this pregnancy has been fabulous. Now we just wait for the dude to get here, here that Jackson we are ready!

Winter Program 2011

This past Friday was Phia's school winter program and man those 3 - 4 year old are darn cute. I love when Sophia moves to the end because she felt like her friend was pushing her out. Girlfriend needed her space to work it. The lights were way bright which makes it hard to see at times, but enjoy!
Oh and why Little bunny foo foo was one of their songs I have no idea, but Sophia loves talking about turning you into a goon.

See what happened was...

I know..... I know, bad Gigi! What can I say life just got in the way these past five months. To be honest though I hardly took any pictures, shocker! As we all know the summer was brutal and lugging around the camera was top on the list of things to do. We did have a great summer though spent mainly in the pool or indoors in order to survive.

Once the weather started cooling off we hit the outdoors and park time was on. Here are some pictures of our first trip to the park where we did not have to worry about melting.

This shirt speaks the truth yo!

This girl sure does love her daddy!

Fearless child!

I am sure she was yelling, no daddy I can do it myself.

This is how the bike ride ended. lol

Now a bunch of random photos over the past two months!

Swinging is what she loves best.

Such a pretty girl!

Crazy bed head helping daddy make breakfast.

Cheering on her Cowboys!

The best part was dance classes started back in September. This year compared to last has been night and day. I am so happy we stuck with our decision to not do the recital last year. I really think it would have been a big flop. This year though she is really loving it and is doing quite well if I do say so.

We ended up September with Daddy's birthday. Phia of course picked out his plate and the four candles. She is really excited about turning 4 and talks about it quite a bit. Several of her friends just turned four in her class and she can't wait to be big like them. We can't wait either, because the tantrums stop at 4 right? right? Don't tell me the truth, just let me live in this dreamworld that all gets better at 4, mkay! :)

Fishies? Fishies? FISHIES!

Sophia has wanted a fish for a while and Eric promised one to her as soon as she could prove she was a big girl and could stop having accidents at school. Well she met her mini goal on Monday and Eric texted me "no accidents we are off to Petco". I called on the way home from my appointment and talked to Phia, she was so excited and was talking non stop about her fishies....yes plural, Eric bought two. They were still getting everything together when I got home and of course I had to snap some pictures, this is huge people. The tank was all setup in Phia's room when she went to bed and she said sweetly night, night fishies. Eric went in later to check on them and left the lid up. I commented that the lid should be closed no? He said no it was fine and didn't want to wake the girl. So off to bed we went with two cute little fishies just swimming away.

This morning we did the usual routine we do every weekday morning. Open Sophia's room, she wakes up on her own and stumbles sleepily into our room and hangs out in our bed for a while. I went into phia's room to get her outfit and shoes and noticed then that the fishies were gone. I was looking all over the tank thinking I am just blind and then start to think the pump sucked them in or the fish were really dumb and swimmed into the pump. Ok maybe I am the dumb one to think this but hey we have never been fish people. Last time I had fish was in College that we took home form a rush day and my roommate and i named them Luke and Elizabeth, yes from General Hospital. :) Let me just say we were in college so tending to the needs of a fish was not high on the priority list. Anyways back to the current fishies. I called Eric in and told him the fish were gone. He looked at me with his you are so crazy face and then realized I was right the fish were indeed gone. We looked on the dresser and then realized they might be behind the dresser. I wish I had a picture of Eric's face when he looked under the dresser. He kept saying I didn't know they could jump out. I blurted out "Dude, Finding Nemo". He couldn't help but bust out laughing. The rest of the morning we were on damage control to keep S out of her room. It worked and we just kept saying over and over they were sleeping and we would feed them later. Eric rushed home from work to day and now the new fishies are safe and sound in the tank...with the lid CLOSED.
