I think this best describes our life right now. Seriously there is not enough hours in the day and thinking of the weekend we have ahead of us = exhausting. Saturday Sophia is having some pictures taken, then I have a baby shower, then a Halloween party that night. Sometime before the baby shower I have to find time to get to BRU. Which is a whole other rant about them not having enough locations, they are all very inconvenient for me and it is all about ME! Sunday we have nothing and I plan to keep it that way. There are loads of laundry that will need to be done oh and lots of packing. I hate to be a rushed packer and I am already experiencing some anxiety at not having started.
I don't have any new pictures to post, we seriously took zero this last weekend. So unlike us, though I don't think Sophia minds our forgetfulness.

Training for Football already???
Yes this is the phrase we have heard the most since Sophia started wearing the helmet last Wednesday. Seriously????? The child is covered in pink and people still think she is a boy!Lolli and I put as much pink and rhinestones we could on the front to make sure we don't have any further confusion. The orthotist asked that we not do too much in the beginning as far as decorating goes in case we have any issues with the helmet in these first couple of weeks. So far week 1 is over and she has adjusted amazingly well. We are so blessed to have such a easy going baby girl, she fussed the first couple times we took it on and off but now it does not even phase her. Her teachers at daycare swear they can already tell a difference, but we mainly think that is because her hair is growing in fast and furious.
Here is our happy girl in her helmet!

Here is Eric's pumpkin he carved, first time too and of course it looks awesome! I swear the guy is a born natural at almost anything (this was the same pumpkin we used with Sophia, the leg holes are in the back and are now the pumpkins booty. Did not get a good picture to post though).

Please Vote for our Kissable baby
Ok we need your help, I entered Sophia into a local radio stations photo contest. If everyone could please all go vote for our little angel we would appreciate it. Just click here and scroll down to the bottom (photos are listed alphabetically by the babe's first name). Once you vote for Sophia please go to your e-mail to confirm the vote or else it doesn't count. You can vote once a day per an e-mail address and voting ends next Tuesday . Side note - I would have entered the pumpkin photo had we taken them before the entry deadline :(

6 Month photos - Studio - Cute Outfit
I am usually not a fan of theme backgrounds, but I think the clouds are really cute!
Six Month Photos - Studio - Halloween Costume
Lots of pictures to post so there is going to be several post! Here is miss priss in her halloween costume, for those that might be scratching your head thinking I thought she was going be a dragonfly....... well you are correct. We tried the costume on this past week and it was HUGE, lets just say the head part fit Eric's head. So mom was off on a mission and I found this adorable butterfly costume.

Pumpkin Patch - Take 1
We went this past weekend to the pumpkin patch, but Sophia was not interested in partaking in any photos. I don't really blame her, it was hot, crowded and so bright out. We learned our lesson and from now on will go super early or later in the day...... we might attempt a "take 2" later in the month.

Her new thing of sticking her tounge out at you, I LOVE it!
Bow Head
So much to say, so little time!
So I was suppose to update last week, but things got crazy! Sophia's 6 month appointment went great her stats are 15.5 lbs and 27.5 inches. The pedi examined Sophia's flat spot and while there has been some improvement, he highly recommended we proceed with getting the helmet. After discussing at length with him we decided this would be the best thing for Sophia. Friday we had the second scan done and her initial scan was a 10.3 and this second time it was 9.9 so not a huge difference at all. Our goal is to get her head to a measurement of 6 or less. The "D" day for getting the helmet is October 15th and I hear it is not a pleasant doctor visit so I pray this is not too painful for the baby girl. That weekend we will be in Nacogdoches and will decorate the helmet in true princess and diva fashion because Sophia is my little diva girl!

Tricky, tricky now!
Here are some pictures of Sophia's latest tricks of sitting up and holding her bottle. This morning she literally swatted Eric's hands away from holding her bottle....... tear...... tear.... she is growing up too fast. Today she is officially 6 months old (well this is under debate as to if it was yesterday or today according to Nana and Aunt Jackie since there are not 31 days in September :) and we have her well visit appointment this afternoon. Can't wait to find out her stats and our pedi's opinion on the helmet. I have not updated on this subject recently because the process has been a nightmare. Come to find out our insurance does not cover the procedure at all :( Well since the first scan her head has filled out considerably so we are just believing that the pedi will see no need for the helmet now. I will update tonight on what we find out, but in the mean time we would appreciate your prayers that Sophia's head will continue to correct on its own.
