Cheeeeesssseee

Sophia's latest thing, when someone says cheese she squints her eyes and smiles real big. Here are some funny photos of us trying to catch the moment!

Not now mom, I am eating my cheerios!
Silly girl!

Success!

Mover and a groover!

Here I come mama!!!!

So we finally have a girl on the move and she can't be stopped. It started about two weeks ago with Sophia crawling maybe two or three steps and about 3 days later she was all over the place. Gone are the days of me plopping her on her play mat and doing dishes, laundry, etc. She is so freaking cute when she crawls. She occasionally does this little kick with her leg or what I call her "kick stand" move. I tried getting some video but the quality was terrible (not enough light) so I am going to try again so I can share with you all.

The good and the bad

Friday was a day filled with appointments, her 9 month well visit and follow-up helmet appointment. Then in between the two appointments we visited Dad at work and went to lunch.

9 month Stats

18.8 lbs (25 - 50%)
28.5 in (75%)

So the bad news we found out the results from her VCUG that she had on Wednesday and she tested positive to kidney reflux - Grade 2. This means that she will now have to be on a low dose antibiotic daily for a year until her next VCUG to prevent anymore breakthrough UTIs. I at first was very concerned about any possible side effects of being on the antibiotic daily but our pedi assured me there is no long term effects. The reflux is something she will outgrow and no surgery will be needed. We are just praying that all is negative come this time next year and she is healed. Poor baby girl has been through so much in these past 9 months and I want nothing more than for her to be healthy and pain free.

Now for some good news! :) Sophia graduated from her helmet on Friday, YAY! We are so thrilled to be rid of that annoying thing and happy at the wonderful progress she made. I never realized how severe the plagio was until I saw the before and after pictures.... wow just wow!

No more pics mom!!!
Jamie in her new dress up clothes
Eric with the best white elephant gift! Yes it is a mini lamp like the one from the Christmas Story.
Cory the proud owner of the lamp. Do you think these two guys are brothers?
Poor Grandma won the stripper flashing sign for her car. It is so wrong that she ended up with this gift, but her reaction was awesome, "oh just what I always wanted." We were all rolling!

Christmas Eve and Christmas morning

Poor baby girl was sick on Christmas so as you will see she is not a happy camper in the pictures below. She was a trooper though, oh and not only was she sick but the pedi says she is cutting six teeth..... holy cow!

The girl goes to town on the giraffe

Hello....hello..... hello

Anyone still here? Wow I can't believe it has been almost a month since I last posted. Sickness has invaded our house over the last month, who am I kidding one of us or all of us have been sick since Thanksgiving. Oh the joy of daycare and all the lovely germs. Eric and I are still a little congested but thankfully Sophia is healed. Poor girl was sick over Christmas and as you will see in the photos it shows all over her face, my usual smiley girl looks down right miserable. Speaking of Christmas we had an absolute wonderful time with all of our families Christmas eve and Christmas day. This past week I had the entire week off so me and Sophia headed to Nacogdoches last Saturday to spend a few days with Lolli. It was just a girls and we had a great time just hanging out at the store or being lazy at the house. We drove home NYE and that night we rang in the new year as a family at home. As much as we wished we could have been out with all of our friends we decided this year to just be low key or in other words LAME! :) Eric and I did make it to midnight (though I was asleep by 12:01), but Sophia not so much.
So I have about a billion pictures to post and promise to post them all soon, hopefully tomorrow, but for now laundry is calling.... ugh!
